‘Pother Pechal’- a story from the road

Last year, filmmaker Gias Uddin Selim created the romantic comedy flash fiction “Perfect Wife.”

After a year, he is returning again with another flash fiction titled “Pother Pechal.”

It will be released on the OTT platform Chorki on May 6 at 12 am.

Speaking about the story, the director said that Bayezid is an auto-rickshaw driver.

Unexpectedly, Uma becomes involved in his life. She is a novice writer trying to publish her first novel.

The story moves forward centering on these two characters from completely different backgrounds.

In “Pother Pechal,” the role of Bayezid is played by Yash Rohan, while Uma is portrayed by Bonne Hasan.

The cast also includes Monir Hasan Khan Shimul, Ashok Bepari, Pronob Ghosh, and Sanzida Yasmin Snigdha, among others.

Gias Uddin Selim said, “Life itself is a long journey, and countless stories are created along the way.

This work portrays two people from different social classes. It reflects class discourse and emotional narratives.

It also presents a humane form of relationship that goes beyond social taboos.”
