12 police officers transferred

The government has transferred 12 police officers, including several of the rank of Additional Deputy Inspector General (Additional DIG) and Superintendent of Police (SP).

The Ministry of Home Affairs issued separate gazette notifications in this regard on Thursday. The orders were issued from the Police-1 branch of the ministry and signed by Deputy Secretary Tawsif Ahmed by order of the President.

According to the notifications, Maqbul Hossain, Commandant (SP) of the In-Service Training Centre in Satkhira, has been transferred to the same post in Kushtia.

Md Iqbal, Commanding Officer (Additional DIG) of Dhaka APBN-12, has been moved to Commanding Officer (Additional DIG) of Dhaka APBN-5, while Md Enamul Kabir, Additional DIG of Highway Police, has been posted as Commanding Officer of Dhaka APBN-12.

Mohammad Sihab Kaisar Khan, Commanding Officer (Additional DIG) of Dhaka APBN-13, has been transferred as Additional DIG of the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI).

Mohammad Kamruzzaman and Md Khalidur Haq Hawladar, both Directors (Additional DIG) of RAB, have been appointed as Joint Police Commissioners of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Mohammad Rabiul Hossain Bhuiyan, Deputy Police Commissioner (Supernumerary Additional DIG) of DMP, has been transferred as Superintendent of Police (Supernumerary Additional DIG) of River Police.

Nusrat Jahan Mukta, Additional Superintendent of Police (Supernumerary SP) of APBN, has been promoted and transferred as Additional Superintendent of Police (Supernumerary Additional DIG) of Special Branch (SB).

In a separate notification, Md Mizanur Rahman, Superintendent of Police of Dhaka district, has been transferred as SP of PBI, while Shamima Parveen, SP of Police Headquarters, has been posted as SP of Dhaka.

Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury, SP of Bagerhat, has been transferred as SP of Chattogram Range, and Hasan Mohammad Naser Rikabdar, Deputy Police Commissioner of DMP, has been posted as SP of Bagerhat.
