Walton reports 642.94C profit in Q3’FY26
The financial performance of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC for the third quarter of FY26 reflects a resilient position within the market.
During this period, the company recorded a total net profit of Tk642.94crore.
A standout metric in this report is the Net Operating Cash Flow per Share (NOCFPS), which reached Tk22.32, marking a significant recovery from the negative Tk1.67 reported in the same period of the previous year.
Additionally, the Earnings per Share (EPS) stood at Tk19.29, while the Net Asset Value (NAV) per share reached Tk366.80 when including revaluation.
The dramatic turnaround in cash flow was driven by several key operational improvements.
The company achieved this by enhancing the efficiency of debt collection from customers and implementing more strategic liquidity management.
Furthermore, Walton’s management prioritized generating cash from internal operations rather than increasing their reliance on bank loans, which has significantly strengthened their overall financial stability.
Despite these gains, the company faced external pressures that impacted its bottom line.
While revenue increased, net profit was slightly lower than the previous year due to the doubling of VAT at the production stage for core products such as refrigerators and air conditioners.
This tax rose from 7.5 per cent to 15 per cent, creating an additional cost burden.
However, the company opted to absorb these costs rather than passing them on to consumers, maintaining current price points to protect customer purchasing power.
To ensure continued growth, Walton has introduced several strategic initiatives aimed at stabilizing future performance.
These include restructuring their rebate frameworks and launching new, target-based incentives for their distributors.
By focusing on cost control, financial discipline, and supply chain improvements, the management remains confident that they can maintain a steady growth trajectory despite the ongoing challenges of inflation and currency exchange fluctuations.
