Based on intelligence, a DB team from Motijheel Division conducted a raid on Tuesday afternoon in the PWD Staff Quarters area under Ramna Police Station, arresting Salman and Jahangir Alam. Law enforcers recovered 8 kg of heroin-reportedly concealed using special techniques-along with three mobile phones.

In a further operation, a team from Ramna Division detained Md. Hasan and Mayuri in front of Kakrail Super Market, recovering 559 bottles of phensedyl. A microbus used for transporting the drugs was also seized.
