Alif Alauddin’s solo album after 15yrs

Musician Alif Alauddin has come out with a new solo album after 15 years. Alif officially released the self-titled album at a restaurant with her colleagues recently.

After being released on YouTube, it has been available on various international audio platforms including Spotify since Thursday. This is her 4th solo album.

Her last solo album, ‘Kolponate’, was released in 2011. Alif is the daughter of noted lyricist and composer Alauddin Ali and musician Salma Sultana.

She has also included songs from her father and mother in the new album.

The album is arranged with six songs. Along with four new songs, two songs sung by her mother have been remade.

Alif’s husband Kazi Faisal has arranged music for the songs in the album.

Alif said about the new album, “After releasing the third album, I was preparing to make a fourth album.

That’s when I started making songs. But I had to stop for various reasons.

If I wanted, I could have released these six songs one by one. But the nostalgic thing didn’t let me do that.

For us, an album means a few songs. I think the audience is also happy with my decision.”

She also said, “In this album, along with four new songs, I have remade two songs sung by my mother Salma Sultana.

Some are done on piano, some I hope everyone will like it.”
