LGED-CReLIC holds inception workshop

A workshop on the development of lessons learned and best practice video documentation, organised by the Climate Resilient Local Infrastructure Centre (CReLIC) under the Climate Resilient Infrastructure Mainstreaming Project (CRIMP) implemented by the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED), was held on Thursday (23 April) at the seminar room of the LGED headquarters.

The workshop was chaired by Md Azharul Islam, Additional Chief Engineer of LGED and Director of CReLIC. Md Belal Hossain, Chief Engineer of LGED, attended as the chief guest.

In his address, he emphasised that the initiative would not merely produce videos or printed materials, but would create a structured knowledge-based repository that could serve as a replicable model for future LGED projects.

He added that the documentaries and factsheets would be valuable references for policymakers, development partners, local government institutions and other stakeholders.

During the workshop, representatives of the consulting firm Aroni Advertising Ltd presented their approach through a PowerPoint presentation.

The presentation was delivered by Team Leader Pankaj Palit, Planning and Business Development Manager Didarul Alam, and Assistant Manager (Client Service) Nafis Mohammad.

Others present included Additional Chief Engineers Syeda Asma Khatun, Kazi Saiful Kabir and Md Wahiduzzaman; former Additional Chief Engineer Md Ahsan Habib; Superintending Engineers Md Anisul Wahab Khan and Md Akhter Hossain; along with project directors, executive engineers and senior assistant engineers from various projects.

Also present were CRIMP-CReLIC Project Director Md Abdul Khalek, Executive Engineers Md Latif Hossain and Fatema Ismat Ara, Assistant Engineer Arpan Paul, and CReLIC expert consultants Md Abdul Noor, Md Shahidul Islam, Md Sadekur Rahman Bhuiya, Md Masudur Rahman and Syed Mahbub Ahsan.
