Rozina starts work to make her 2nd film

Noted film actress Rozina has been acting in movies for more than four decades.

She made her debut as a director in 2023. Rozina’s first directed film was ‘Phirey Dekha’, which was released on June 16, 2023.

Rozina announced on Sunday that she has started directing her second film. The title of the movie is ‘Ekhoni Somoy’. The story of the film is written by Chhatku Ahmed.

Regarding talking about her new film, Rozina said, “‘Ekhoni Somoy’ is basically the story of our lives — the story of this time.

The story contains love, affection and some difficult realities. Chhatku Bhai is a talented director and storyteller of our country.

I have given him the responsibility of writing the story because I have confidence on him. Now I’m planning the budget and shooting of the film.

If everything goes well, I hope to be able to start shooting for my second film this year.”

The actress also said that she will finalise the list of actors for the film after writing the story and screenplay.

Regarding this, she said, “I have not yet finalised who will act in the film. The actors will be decided only after the story and screenplay are finalised.

Then the names of the actors will be officially announced. However, I can say for sure that the story of this film is more beautiful than my previous one.”

April 20 was Rozina’s birthday. In this regard, Rozina said, “The first hour of my birthday was spent with my family. At midnight, I cut the cake with my whole family. I stayed at home most of the day.”

It is worth mentioning that Rozina’s first film ‘Rajmohol’ was released in 1976. Rozina gained popularity with this film directed by F Kabir Chowdhury.

In this film, she acted opposite Wasim. Rozina won her first National Film Award as the Best Supporting Actress for her performance in film ‘Koshai’ directed by Amzad Hossain.

Then in 1988, she won the National Film Award as the Best Actress for the film ‘Jibondhara’ directed by Matin Rahman.
