Mohammadpur’s Asadul murder case: 6 arrested

Police have arrested six individuals, including Akhtar and Munna, a former ward-34 Jubo Dal leader, in connection with the murder of Asadul, also known as “Lambu Asadul,” in the Beribandh area of Mohammadpur in the capital.

They were arrested on Thursday night from the Nawabganj area of Dhaka. The arrestees are: Shaon, Asadul, Arif, and Babul.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Tejgaon Division Md Jewel Rana said that following the incident, surveillance was intensified to identify and apprehend the suspects, reports media.

He added that information technology support was also used during the operation, leading to the arrest of six individuals linked to the murder case.

Earlier, on the night of Wednesday, Asadul, also known as was stabbed to death in the Sadeq Khan Itkhola area of Beribandh in Mohammadpur over a previous enmity.
