Shuvoo opens up about Tk 1 salary, plot cancellation

Arifin Shuvoo became the center of discussion by playing the role of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in the movie ‘Mujib: The Making of a Nation’.

The issue of his Tk 1 remuneration in this movie was also one of the most discussed issues.

But after the mass uprising, that movie became a black spot in his life. After the political change, the government plot allotted in his name was canceled.

However, Shuvoo remained silent. Finally, he spoke about the cancellation of the plot and the Tk 1 remuneration.

In a recent interview with BBC Bangla, Shuvo said that the information that he received government land in exchange for a fee of Tk 1 is not correct.

Shuvoo said, “I took Tk 1 and then asked for land. This information is wrong. I was not given any land.

I only applied, which 151 other artistes did. The application was for future security. But there was no registration of that land, I did not go there.”
