NBR extends corporate tax return deadline to 15 May
The deadline for submission of tax returns by company taxpayers has been extended by one more month to 15 May.
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) issued an order in this regard on Monday extending the deadline for filing income tax returns for companies for the financial year ending in June 2025 to 15 May.
Under the revised order, companies will be able to submit their income tax returns by 15 May.
As per law, the original deadline for companies is 15 February. It was later extended twice by two months, pushing it to 15 April, and the new order marks a third extension.
NBR officials said the decision was taken due to the slower-than-expected pace of corporate tax return submissions.
According to data from the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC), there are close to 300,000 companies in the country, of which around 30,000 file returns.
