Bank Asia holds 13th EGM

Bank Asia PLC successfully convened its 13th Extra-Ordinary General Meeting (EGM) on Sunday through a digital platform.

The meeting was presided over by Romo Rouf Chowdhury, Chairman of the Bank. During the EGM, shareholders approved the key resolutions concerning the proposed acquisition of the Bangladesh operations of Bank Alfalah Limited.

The transaction encompasses all associated assets, liabilities, rights, and obligations, and remains subject to the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities.

The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman Zakia Rouf Chowdhury; Directors Romana Rouf during the EGM, shareholders approved the key resolutions concerning the proposed acquisition of the Bangladesh operations of Bank Alfalah Limited. Sohail R. K. Hussain, Managing Director, along with members of the senior management team, and Zahid Hasan, Company Secretary (Acting), were also present at the meeting.
