Shamsul Alam who introduced “36 July” to the nation
Movements to topple the Fascist Hasina regime started since 2009 after the killing of Armed forces’ members. Hasina initiated her genocidal journey with an aim to “annihilate enimes of ’71 & ’75 advocating this to BBC journalist Serajur Rahaman back in 1981.
Her so-called “homecoming” brought the death of the state man who declared Independence of Bangladesh, Martyred President Ziaur Rahman who was Armed forces chief but turned into a politician and made politics difficult for the politicians.
Hasina’s ruthlessness & cruelty knew no bound and so the first elected female Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia repeatedly warned regarding consequences people may have to confront if they empower her anyway.
There were numerous strong demonstrations and fierce democratic protests all of which were branded by Hasina domesticated media as movements of militants, Islamists, coup de tat and so on so forth. With regard to the revolution of the July since 16 th onwards, things got quite unchallenging from all sides after killing of Abu Sayeed, student of Begum Rokeya University.
Usually, the months after July will be August, however, it was the one of the most Trusted bureaucrats, leader of government policy makers and the secretariat who senior secretary and defended & served Begum Khaleda Zia,he came up with a leading idea of turning August as July.
Hasina monopolised August and used to cry to gain support from people to strengthen her grip on power forever and she along With her goons demonstrated worst possible governance signified by disappearances of more than 5000 individuals, more than 5000 deaths by shooting and uncountable extra-judicial killings. This is why, month of August, March & December became months of repression & justification.
On March 7 th, 2007, the PM Tarique Rahman was picked by Joint forces and tortured to extreme humiliations, most of the disappearances took place in month of August, such as Hummam Quader Chowdhury, Barrister Arman and Brigadier Azmi and even the editor of daily Bangladesh first was also picked by RAB-1 in August 2013 and handed over to DB hq to show as would be killer of Hasina on 21 August and later on spend sentences on Information and technology and many false charges .
These are national traumas which were inflicted by individuals. It is now quite clear that there is a consistent reasons behind naming 5th August as 36 July.
The fall of Hasina has been demonstrated as the best example of fascist enablers and how people treat the undemocratic regime in Bangladesh.Despite the success of the July, we are yet to promote the backstagebut leading heroes who led, instructed and succeeded this revolution and Shamsul Alam, being the most known individual surrounding this must be put to the most distinguished positions in the government which is addressed by people and revolutionaries.
