Fakhrul leaves for Singapore for medical checkup
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Secretary General and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir have left Dhaka for Singapore for a routine health check-up.
Accompanied by his wife, Rahat Ara Begum he made the trip for his scheduled medical check-up, departed Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) by a Singapore Airlines flight at 11:55 pm on Monday, minister’s Assistant Private Secretary Md.Younus Ali confirmed the news, reports BSS.
He is expected to return home after a week.
In 2015, while in prison, Fakhrul was diagnosed with a blockage in an artery in his neck. After his release, he went to Singapore for treatment. Since then, he has been visiting the country regularly for follow-up check-ups.
