PM to grant Tk 6.5cr aid to 5 Temples in Dhaka-17

Five temples in the Dhaka-17 constituency are set to receive Tk 6.5 crore in financial assistance, with each getting Tk 1.3 crore, on behalf of the Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The temples include Mohakhali BTCL Public Durga Temple, Sri Sri Shivkali Temple, Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple and ID Hospital Temple.

Abdur Rahman Sunny, Assistant Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, officially announced the donations while attending a function in Mohakhali on Monday, reports UNB.

Dhaka Zilla Parishad Administrator Yasin Ferdous Murad, BNP Central Executive Committee member Ramesh Dutta, and the Prime Minister’s Research Officer Abdus Sattar Patwari, along with leaders of Dhaka Metropolitan BNP and local units, were present.

Sunny said various development initiatives have also been undertaken in the Dhaka-17 constituency. These include the development of roads in Sattola Bosti, improvement of roads and playgrounds in the BRP area, and cleaning and beautification of lakes in Gulshan-1 and Gulshan-2.

Speaking at the event, Yasin Ferdous Murad said the Prime Minister has taken various initiatives to ensure development and prosperity for people of all religions.

Dhaka Zilla Parishad has already begun implementing those initiatives, he said.
