Ankhi performs on stage in Japan after 2 decades
After more than two decades, popular Bangladeshi stage performer Ankhi Alamgir is set to return to the international stage.
She will depart for Japan on April 8 to participate in one of the largest cultural events for expatriate Bangladeshis, “Boishakhi Mela 2026.”
The event will be held on April 12 at Litpia Park in Misato City, where Ankhi Alamgir will take the stage as the main attraction.
Her return to Japan after such a long hiatus has generated significant excitement among the Bangladeshi expatriate community.
Expressing her enthusiasm about the Japan tour, Ankhi Alamgir shared that she first performed at a major event in Japan in late 2002.
At that time, she shared the stage with Kumar Bishwajit, Hanif Sanket, Baby Naznin, Rabi Chowdhury, Doly Shaontoni, and Moushumi, among others.
After many years, she is now leading the main performance herself, which she considers a significant milestone in her career.
