50th BCS candidates seek 2-month delay for written test
Candidates who cleared the 50th BCS preliminary exam have demanded that the written test be postponed by two months and held in July, claiming they were not given sufficient time to prepare.
They made this demand at a protest rally on Sunday at the foot of Raju Memorial Sculpture on the Dhaka University campus, under the banner of “50th BCS Written Examination Candidates”, reports media.
One of the protesters, Piku Barua, said, “We have gathered here today with this reasonable demand so that the concerned authorities can be informed about this matter and the examination is postponed by at least two months. That is, this 50th BCS written examination should be held in July.”
Explaining the reason, Piku said, “Those who will take the examination in both cadres have to sit for a total of 1,200 marks. Normally, at least 6 to 9 months of time is needed to complete this. We have been given only 58 days.”
