Indian envoy hosts Eid reunion for Sylhet journos
An Eid reunion programme was held in honour of journalists from print, electronic, and online media working in Sylhet on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.
The programme was organised by the Indian Assistant High Commission in Sylhet at a prestigious restaurant in the city on Friday night.
At the programme, moderated by Nahida Khan Surmi, a recitation instructor at Sylhet District Shilpakala Academy, Aniruddha Das, Assistant Indian High Commissioner in Sylhet, told journalists that the media plays an important role in further strengthening the existing good relations between Bangladesh and India. He expressed hope that journalists, especially from the Sylhet region, will help advance mutual understanding and friendly relations between the two countries.
