Pritam announces break from item songs

Music director and artiste Pritam Hasan is known for his dance music.

At the beginning of his career, his songs ‘Beyansaab’ and ‘Girlfriend er Biya’ to ‘Kababer Haddi’ were at the peak of popularity.

After the release of ‘Kababer Haddi’ in 2020, Pritam announced a break from such songs.

However, in the last few years, he has been found in item songs in movies. This time, Pritam has announced a break from item songs in movies as well.

Pritam has made his mark in film songs as well as original songs. He has popular songs like ‘Lage Ura Dhura’, ‘Chand Mama’, and ‘Lichur Bagan’ under his belt.

Pritam was the item song for Shakib Khan’s Eid movies. Such scenes were regular in the last four Eids.

This Eid of Ramadan, he has also composed an item song for Shakib’s movie ‘Prince’. Runa Laila has sung the song ‘Jwala Jwala’ with Pritam.

Pritam said that he had been planning to sing with Runa Laila for a few years.

He was thinking of doing something where Runa Laila could be presented in a different way. So, he was waiting for the right time.

Three months ago, that opportunity arose through the movie ‘Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka’.

While giving the news of singing with Runa Laila, Pritam announced his break from the dance track of the movie.

He said, “I am taking a break from singing dance tracks for movies for some time. I will come back if I have a chance to do something new.

For now, I may go back to songs like ‘Shoroter Shesh Theke’, ‘More Jak’, and ‘Khoka’ where there is a little less hype, but more peace of mind.

Thank you very much to everyone who has supported and even criticised my works in movies.” Pritam is also busy with acting and singing.
