Newborn found dead in graveyard

Police recovered the body of an unidentified one-day-old newborn bo from a cardboard box at Jurain graveyard in the capital on Thursday afternoon.

The body was recovered around 2:30pm. Shyampur Police Station Sub-inspector Selim Reza said they had received information and recovered the body from inside the box, adding that it was not yet known who had left the newborn there, reports media.

After completing legal formalities, the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
