President to visit Pabna on 4-day trip

President Mohammed Shahabuddin is set to visit his hometown, Pabna, on a four-day official tour. During the visit, he will offer prayers at the graves of his parents and hold a views-exchange meeting with journalists at the Pabna Press Club.

The information was confirmed in an official itinerary signed by the President’s Protocol Officer, Abul Kalam Md. Lutfar Rahman, on Tuesday, reports media. According to the schedule, the President will depart at 1:00 pm on 28 March and arrive at the helipad of Pabna Cadet College at 1:45 pm.

He will then be accorded a guard of honour at the Circuit House. After taking rest on the first day, he will visit the Arifpur Central Graveyard in Pabna at 11:00 am on Sunday to offer prayers at his parents’ graves.

Later in the evening, he will exchange views with journalists at the Pabna Press Club.

On Monday at 11:00 am, the President will visit the Bhabanipur Mosque in Sadar upazila. In the evening, he will go to his residence in the Jubilee Tank area of the town, where he will meet with relatives and well-wishers.

The following day, Tuesday, President Mohammed Shahabuddin will depart from Pabna Cadet College for Bangabhaban, concluding his visit.
