Iran’s Red Crescent Society has reported widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure, claiming that more than 81,000 residential and civilian units have been damaged in recent US-Israeli attacks across the country.
In a statement, the humanitarian organisation said the strikes also hit critical facilities, including medical centres, schools, ambulances and aid workers, reports Middle East Eye.
Describing the incidents as a “clear violation” of international humanitarian law, the Red Crescent called attention to the scale of civilian impact and urged greater protection for non-combatants and essential services during the conflict.
The claims come amid escalating tensions in the region, with no immediate independent verification of the reported damage.
