Met office predicts rain on Eid

Subject to moon sighting, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr may be celebrated in Bangladesh on March 20 (Friday) or (Saturday). Light rain is expected in different parts of the country on both days, with the possibility of hail in some areas, according to the Meteorological Department.
The information was provided in a statement issued by the department on Wednesday (March 18).
According to the five-day forecast, on March 20, some areas in Rangpur, Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, as well as isolated areas in Barishal and Khulna divisions, may experience temporary strong or gusty winds with rain or thunderstorms.
There is also a possibility of scattered hail in some places. Day and night temperatures across the country may slightly decrease during this period.
Similarly, on March 21, nearly the same weather conditions are expected. Rain or thunderstorms with gusty or strong winds are forecasted in some areas of Dhaka, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, with scattered hail possible in some locations.
Daytime temperatures may slightly drop nationwide, while nighttime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged, the Meteorological Department said.
