Bangladesh pile up 307

Sports Reporter :Bangladesh piled up a mammoth 307 for the loss of all in 49.3 overs in their innings of the first ODI against India at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Thursday.Bangladesh made a solid start as the two openers Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar contributed together 102 runs in the opening stand before Soumya was run out by Suresh Raina when the Tigers total was 102 for the loss of one wicket. After dismissal of Soumya, Bangladesh lost their early three wickets for 44 runs.Tamim Iqbal was caught at the mid-off by Rohit Sharma off Ravichandran Ashwin when Bangladesh’s score was 123 for the loss of two wickets.Tamim hit a splendid 60 from 62 balls featuring seven fours and a sixer. It was Tamim Iqbal’s 30th ODI half century. Soumya Sarkar cracked a superb 54 off 40 balls hitting eight fours and a six. It was Soumya’s second ODI fifty.Then Liton Das was trapped leg before wicket by Ravichandran Ashwin for just eight runs when Bangladesh’s total was 129 for the loss of three wickets.After removal of Liton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim was caught at the long-on by Rohit Sharma off Ravichandran Ashwin for 14 when Bangladesh’s score was 146 for the loss of four wickets.After departure Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan and Sabbir Rahman put on together 83 runs for the fifth wicket partnership before Sabbir Rahman was cleanly bowled out by Ravindra Jadeja when Bangladesh’s total was 229 runs for the loss of five wickets.After dismissal of Sabbir Rahman, Shakib Al Hasan and Nasir Hossain added 38 runs before Shakib Al Hasan was caught at the backward point by Ravindra Jadeja off Umesh Yadav when Bangladesh’s score was 267 for the loss of six wickets. Shakib Al Hasan knocked a impressive 52 from 68 balls including three fours while Sabbir Rahman made a polished 41 off 44 balls with five fours and a sixer. It was Shakib Al Hasan’s 29th ODI half century.Nasir Hossain scored 34 from 27 balls with three fours and a six before he was caught at the point by Ravindra Jadeja off Yumesh Yadav when Bangladesh’s total was 282 for the loss of seven wickets.Then Rubel Hossain was caught at the mid-off by Mohit Sharma off Bhuvneshwar Kumar for four when the home sides total was 286 for the loss of eight wickets.After dismissal of Rubel Hossain, Taskin Ahmed was caught at the cover by Virat Kohli off Bhuvneshwar Kumar for two when the hosts score was 298 for the loss of nine wickets.Mashrafe Bin Mortaza hit a notable 21 from 18 balls including three fours before Mortaza was caught at the mid-on by Rohit Sharma off Mohit Sharma when Bangladesh’s innings came to an end.
