Polls of Mohammedan 3 heavyweight candidates to vie for president post

A total of three heavyweight candidates will vie for the president post of the Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited. A number of four candidates collected nomination papers for the post of the president of Mohammedan. Of them, Shawkat Aziz Russel did not submit his nomination papers on the last day (Tuesday). Yesterday was the last day for submit the nomination papers. Barkat Ullah Bulu,MP, Zainul Abdin Farrooque, MP, and Sajed A.A. Adel finally submitted their nomination papers on Tuesday. The highest vote getter will be the President of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, the most popular and traditional outfit of Bangladesh.
The election for the Governing Council of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will be held at the Dhaka Club on March 9. The cast of voting will start at 2:00pm and will come to an end at 5:00pm.
Election Commissioner Anwarul Huq Helal disclosed all the matters related to the election to this Reporter at the office room of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited on Tuesday. He said, ” The environment and the situation of the polls of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited is very peaceful and nice. All the candidates are very polite, calm and quiet.”
A total of 31 sports personalities collected nomination papers for the post of the Directors of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited. Of them, four candidates did not submit their nomination papers. The 27 candidates are contesting for the post of 16 Directors. A good number of organizers and former noted players are vying for the post of Directors.
It may be mentioned that the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will be held at the same venue. The AGM will start at 9:00am and will be concluded at 2:00pm.
