I think suicide is very selfish act: Nabila
Entertainment Report :
The suicide of TV actor Zaher Alvi’s wife Afra Ibnat Khan Iqra has
created a strong reaction in the showbiz arena. The country’s stars and artistes are expressing their reactions to the incident on social media. This time, popular actress of TV and OTT, Masuma Rahman Nabila has given a status
on Facebook regarding the suicide.
Her statement has created mixed reactions among netizens. Many have expressed agreement with her status.
In her status, Nabila wrote that she sees suicide as an ‘extremely selfish act.’ In her words, “Sorry, I consider suicide to be a very selfish act. If one’s own suffering becomes greater than that of the parents and children, and if the main thing is to get rid of one’s own suffering by pushing the child towards an uncertain future, then it is undoubtedly selfishness.”
The actress brought to the fore the sense of responsibility of those involved in this incident. She wrote, “It’s not enough to just show heroic behaviour on screen; one also has to take responsibility for the situation and one’s actions in real life.”
Nabila has expressed concern about the future of Alvi and Iqra’s child because it is difficult for a child to grow up without a mother.
In this regard, Nabila wrote, “I pray that the child has a healthy and safe future, may Allah give his parents the strength to bear this pain. At the same time, he reminded us that every human life is much bigger than anything. Much bigger than love or relationships. Life is never a fairy tale; it is difficult, bitter and cruel.”
Nabila also wrote, “There is a special beauty to life. And if you have children, what greater joy could you ask for than life? Live for your child, fight for him, and watch him grow up to be a wonderful person. No matter how bitter and cruel life is, giving up is not the way to go. Living with dignity, despite all the hardships, is much more satisfying.”
