Mithun-Sohan’s big loss, Litton-Naim’s victory in BCL

North Zone continued its winning streak in the second match of the Bangladesh Cricket League (BCL) one-day.

After the dominance of the bowlers, they easily defeated South Zone with Litton Das’ fifty. With this victory, Hannan Sarkar’s team advanced to the final with two wins in two matches.

North Zone defeated South Zone by 6 wickets at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium on Thursday.

South Zone was bowled out for 144 runs in 30.5 overs with the bowling of Shariful and Nahid Runner. Later, North Zone reached the target by losing 4 wickets in 26 overs with Litton’s fifty.

On the other hand, East Zone and Central Zone took the field in Bogura. Batting first, East Zone collected 237 runs for 9 wickets.

Zakir Hasan scored the highest 45 runs for the team. Yasir Rabbi scored 37 runs. Taskin Ahmed and Ripon Mondal took 2 wickets each for the Central Zone. Rakibul Hasan also took 3 wickets.

Later, Saif Hassan departed early in the chase of a medium target. Then Naeem Sheikh continued to move forward with Mahfizul Robin.

Although Naeem was out for 83 runs, Robin finally won the match by remaining unbeaten on 66 runs. Naeem Hasan took 2 wickets for the East Zone.
