2 drug dealers held in Kamalganj

Two drug dealers were arrested with 103 pieces of yaba in a police operation in Kamalganj, Moulvibazar, They were detained on Tuesday from South Kumrakapon in Kamalganj municipality area.

The arrestees are Md. Atikur Rahman (40), son of Khurshid Ali of South Kumrakapon village, and Ahmad Khan (40), son of Ali Badikhan of Kumrakapon village.

According to the police, based on a tip-off, a raid was conducted in Balu Mahal area of South Kumrakapon, where the two drug dealers were arrested. During the search, 103 pieces of yaba and 42,900 BDT in cash from drug sales were recovered.

Kamalganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Abdul Awal said, “Cases have been filed against the arrestees under the Narcotics Control Act. Our drive against drugs will continue.”
