Law and order committee meeting held

The monthly meeting of the law and order committee was held in Kaliganj by the Upazila administration.
The meeting was held on Monday in the conference room of the Upazila Parishad.

The meeting was presided over by Upazila Executive Officer ATM Kamrul Islam and was attended by Gazipur-5 constituency MP A.K.M. Fazlul Haque Milan MP as the chief guest.

Officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station Md. Zakir Hossain shed light on the overall law and order situation.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) Zakia Sarwar Lima, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Rizwana Rashid, Officer-in-charge of Kaliganj Police Station Md. Zakir Hossain, Assistant Engineer of the Municipal Council Monnur Ahmed, Upazila Social Service Officer Afroza Begum, Secondary Education Officer Nur-e-Jannat, Public Health Engineer Abul Hosne Akash were present.

Ansar and VDP Officer Obaidur Rahman, heads of departments of the Upazila administration, chairmen of the Union Parishad, teachers of schools and colleges and mass media workers, etc.

The meeting discussed drug control, prevention of theft and robbery, taking legal measures to stop extortion, stopping soil cutting of agricultural land, taking steps to reduce road congestion and maintaining road safety, strengthening market monitoring to control the price of goods on the occasion of the holy Ramadan, eviction of illegal establishments, increasing police surveillance, refraining from propaganda and the overall law and order situation.

The chief guest was given a red carpet reception by the Upazila administration for attending the first meeting of the Upazila administration and floral greetings were given by various departments of the administration.
