Major General Kaiser appointed new DGFI chief

Major General Mohammad Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury has been appointed as the new Director General of the Defence Forces Intelligence Directorate (DGFI).

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman presented him with the rank badge at a ceremony organised at the Armed Forces Division in Dhaka Cantonment on Monday.

Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, Chief of Naval Staff Admiral M Nazmul Hassan and Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan were present at the ceremony.

Earlier on Sunday, Brigadier General Kaiser Rashid Chowdhury, serving at the Army Headquarters, was promoted to Major General and appointed as DGFI chief through an official order.
