DU VC Prof Niaz Ahmed Khan resigns

Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan resigned from his post on Saturday.
He formally submitted his resignation letter to Education Minister Ehsanul Haque Milon, reports BSS.

The matter was confirmed by the Vice-Chancellor’s Protocol Officer, Mohammad Firoz, who said the resignation letter was handed over to the minister.

However, no official notification has yet been issued by the Ministry of Education. Further administrative procedures will be completed in accordance with regulations once the resignation is formally accepted.

Sources at the ministry said the outgoing VC cited personal and administrative reasons behind his decision. Subject to government approval, the process for appointing a new vice-chancellor is expected to begin soon.
