What happened to actress Monira Mithu’s son who was severely beaten

Popular TV actress Monira Akhter Mithu’s eldest son Mushfiq Islam was brutally attacked and beaten near the Diabari Metrorail Station in Dhaka on Thursday. The attack took place after he was hit by a car.

The actress herself reported the incident on social media.

According to the incident description, a speeding private car hit their car from behind in the Diabari area on Thursday afternoon, causing car of the actress to be mangled.

After the accident, the owner and driver of the private car attacked the novelist when he got out of the car. They threw him on the road, beat him severely and fled.

The actress revealed the license plate number of the attackers on her social media and said that the entire beating was captured on video.

Then, in a post on Friday afternoon, Monira Mithu expressed concern about her son’s current physical condition.

She mentioned, “My eldest son is injured all over his body, in pain. His right eye was hit the most.

One person was standing on my child’s knee, holding him by the throat, while another was kicking and punching him.”

Referring to the video, she also said, “The owner and driver of the car were acting very ‘animal-like’, which left her speechless.”

Monira Mithu has expressed her gratitude to her co-stars, relatives and well-wishers for standing by her during this time of distress.

She said that many people had been searching for my son till midnight yesterday.

The actress and her family are currently demanding speedy justice for this inhumane incident.
