Election materials arrived in Mirzapur under heavy security

In Mirzapur, Tangail, election materials have been dispatched to various polling centres under strict security measures. Closed-circuit cameras have been installed at each centre.

Since morning, under the supervision of the Upazila Assistant Returning Officer, presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, police officers, RAB, police, and Ansar personnel have escorted the materials to the centres through coordinated security forces.

According to the Election Office, Mirzapur Upazila has 126 polling centres, while the Tangail district has a total of 1,063 centres across eight constituencies. CCTV cameras have been installed at all centres. To manage the centres, 68 executive magistrates and 18,896 law enforcement personnel have been deployed.

This includes 2,425 police officers, 380 BGB members, 2,000 army personnel, 13,819 Ansar members, 80 RAB officers, and 192 Ansar battalion members.

Mirzapur Upazila Executive Officer and Assistant Returning Officer stated that CCTV cameras have been installed at every centre and overall security, including the delivery of election materials, has been strengthened.
