BNP candidate Habib unveils Pabna-4 manifesto

With the slogan “We will work, we will build the nation-Bangladesh first,” Md. Habibur Rahman Habib, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-nominated candidate contesting with the Sheaf of Paddy symbol for the Pabna-4 (Ishwardi-Atgharia) constituency, has pledged to ensure modern infrastructure, sustainable employment, and quality civic services through development and good governance.
He formally announced his election manifesto on Friday at the Ishwardi Press Club auditorium.
The manifesto outlines a 19-point development plan aimed at the overall progress of Ishwardi-Atgharia. Key proposals include modernization of the Ishwardi Railway Junction, construction of a modern flyover at the Ishwardi railway gate, declaration of Ishwardi as a separate district comprising Ishwardi, Lalpur, and Atgharia upazilas, and reopening of the Ishwardi Airport to improve communication and connectivity.
Other commitments include nationalization of Ishwardi Women’s College, establishment of an agricultural university and a public library, construction of cold storage facilities for agricultural produce, setting up IT training centers to reduce unemployment, building a drug-free society, taking strict action through law enforcement agencies to curb extortion and terrorism, and developing tourist destinations in the Pakshi-Rooppur area.
The manifesto announcement ceremony was held under the chairmanship of Mokhlesur Rahman Babul, Convener of the Ishwardi Municipal Election Management Committee. Leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations were present at the event, along with journalists from print and electronic media.
