Campaigns for Ladder symbol in Dhaka-13

Staff Reporter :
With the slogan of standing against exploitation and communalism and transforming the vote struggle into a struggle for policy, Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal (Basad)–nominated and Democratic Left Front–supported candidate of the Ladder symbol in Dhaka-13 constituency, Khalekuzzaman Lipon, received participation in election campaigning from Basad Central General Secretary Bazlur Rashid Firoz.
He took part in organized election campaign activities on Monday in the Lalmatia and Zakir Hossain Road areas.
Present at the time were Hammer-symbol candidate Khalekuzzaman Lipon, Basad Dhaka City leader Rokhsana Aparajita Asha, Babu Hasan, Ibrahim Ali, CPB leader Nuruzzaman, and Asif Jaman, leader of the Student Union Mohammadpur, among others.
During the mass contact campaign, a street meeting was held where Hammer-symbol candidate Khalekuzzaman Lipon presented 13 priority-based development proposals for the development of the Dhaka-13 area.
Basad General Secretary Bazlur Rashid Firoz said that the Election Commission has so far failed to ensure public security or equal conduct centered on the election. It has also failed to stop the use of religion in election campaigns.
He further stated that it has already been proven that the forces claiming leadership of the Liberation War have buried the true spirit of the Liberation War and turned it into a business, and in the same way, they are now concealing the aspirations for eliminating inequality of the 2024 mass uprising and creating new controversies over outcomes determined back in 1971.
He said this attempt to replace the anti-inequality spirit of the 2024 mass uprising with communal provocation proves that the ruling groups of the past 54 years and their allies are incapable of eliminating inequality, ensuring communal harmony, and guaranteeing social security for all citizens.
Calling for votes for the Hammer symbol, he urged people to make Khalekuzzaman Lipon victorious in order to strengthen the movement for a corruption-free, exploitation-free, equitable, and just society.
