Tigresses complete good preparation with victory

Bangladesh women’s cricket team are in Nepal to participate in the upcoming T20 World Cup Qualifiers. Nigar Sultana Joty played two warm-up matches before the start of the Qualifiers.

The Tigresses won both matches. In the last warm-up match, the red-green representatives defeated the Thailand women’s cricket team by 34 runs on Friday.
Bangladesh came out to bat at the beginning of the match held at Mulpani in Nepal. Opener Juairia Ferdous was dismissed for 31 runs off 29 balls after hitting two fours and a six.
Then, Sharmin Akter and Captain Nigar Sultana Joty gifted the team a 51-run partnership. Sharmin was dismissed for 28 runs off 31 balls and Joty for 28 runs off 22 balls.
And in the end, Shorna Akter scored 15 off just 14 balls, while Shabana Mostari remained unbeaten on 24 runs. Bangladesh scored 149 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 20 overs.
In reply to 150 runs, Thailand started losing wickets from the start. Only two batters were able to touch the 10-run mark with the bat. Nannapat Koncharekai scored a fifty.
He scored 52 runs off 48 balls. Chanida Suthiruag scored 25 runs off 18 balls. Thailand scored 117 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Faria Trishna took the highest two wickets for Bangladesh. Three bowlers took one wicket each.
