Women's Football League: Army in winning run

Bangladesh Army Sports Club maintained their winning run after defeat Kacharipara Unnayan Sangstha by 18-0 goals in the Women’s Football League, was held at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Shipahi Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur on Saturday.

Unnoti Khatun slammed double hat-trick with six goals ( 62nd, 66th, 72nd, 79th, 82nd and 90+2nd minutes), Mosammat Sultana scored hat-trick with four goals (17th, 41st, 42nd and 57 minutes) while Tannima Biswas also scored hat-trick with three goals (14th, 39th and 45th minutes) for Army.

Besides, Arpita Biswas and Brishty Akter scored a brace each (2nd, and 87th and 49th and 73rd minutes) respectively while Halima Akter scored a lone goal for Army in the one-sided affairs.
Umehla slams hat-trick

Umehla Marma slammed a brilliant hat-trick as Ansar and VDP Football Club recorded an overwhelming 7-1 goals victory over Nasrin Sports Academy in the fourth round of Women’s Football League.

Apart from Umehla Marma’s hat-trick with five goals in the match, Suchingma Marma and Mamoni Chakma supported her with a lone goal each for the winners in the one-sided affairs. Popi Rani netted a consolation goal for Nasrin. Umehla Marma put Ansar ahead in the 18th minute while Suchingma Marma doubled the lead for Ansar in the 36th minute.

After the breather, Mamoni Chakma scored the third goal for Ansar in the 52nd minute while Umehla made the score line 4-0 in the 67th minute of the match. She completed her hat-trick goal in the 72nd minute while Popi Rani reduced the margin for Nasrin in the 81st minute.

Umehla further increased Ansar’s margin scoring her fourth and sixth goals in the 89th minute and sealed the victory scoring her fifth and seventh goals for Ansar in the 89th minute of the match.

The day’s win saw Ansar open their tally to four from four matches while Nasrin is yet to secure any points playing the same number of matches.
