Mohammad Waseem hits 60: Easy win for Rajshahi in BPL Cricket

Rajshahi Warriors posted an easy four-wicket over Noakhali Express in their match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

Sent into bat first, Noakhali Express scored 151 for the loss of five wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
In return, Rajshahi Warriors cruised into the victory target making 152 for the loss of six wickets when they had six balls to spare.

After yesterday’s outcome, Rajshahi Warriors collected eight points from five matches, while Noakhali Express remained with zero points playing six matches.

Rajshahi Warriors had a good start with two openers Tanzid Hasan and Mohammad Waseem put on together 47 runs in the opening stand before Tanzid Hasan was bowled out by Mehedi Hasan Rana.

Mohammad Waseem hammered a windy 60. His 35-ball knock was laced with four sixes and four fours. He was adjudged the Player of the Match.

Tanzid Hasan made 21 from 20 deliveries featuring three fours and a sixer.

Later, Mohammad Waseem and Mushfiqur Rahim contributed together 44 runs for the third wicket partnership before Mohammad Waseem was run out by a joint-effort of Jaker Ali and Mahidul Islam Ankon when Rajshahi’s score was 105 for the loss of three wickets.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored 19 runs, while Ryan Burl remained unbeaten with 19 runs.
Mehedi Hasan Rana grabbed three wickets in the space of 25 runs, while Mohammad Nabi and Hasan Mahmud picked up one wicket each for 26 and 36 runs respectively.

Earlier, Noakhali Express made a solid start as the two openers Shahadat Hossain and Soumya Sarkar scored together 57 runs in the opening stand before Shahadat Hossain was trapped leg before wicket by Ripon Mondol.
Ripon Mondol made 30 from 28 balls including four fours.

Soumya Sarkar and and Mohammad Nabi built a notable partnership in the third wicket stand scoring together 40 runs before Soumya Sarkar was dismissed by Hasan Murad when Noakhali’s total was 123 for the loss of three wickets.

Soumya Sarkar notched up 59 runs. His 43-ball knock was studded with three sixes and four fours.
After Soumya’s dismissal, Noakhali failed to make any notable partnership.

Mohammad Nabi hit a polished 35. His 26-ball innings was decorated with three sixes and one four.
Ripon Mondol claimed two wickets in lieu of 27 runs, while Najmul Hossain Shanto, Hasan Murad and Binura Fernando took one wicket each for one, 20 and 30 runs respectively.
