Massive win for Dhaka Capitals in BPL

Dhaka Capitals registered a massive seven-wicket victory over Noakhali Express in their fifth match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
Chasing Noakhali’s paltry total of 133 for the loss of six wickets in 20 overs, Dhaka Capitals sailed home making 134 for the loss of three wickets when they had 35 balls to spare.
Nasir Hossain remained unbeaten with 90 runs. His 50-ball windy innings was ornamented with 14 fours and two sixes. He took one wicket in the space of 24 runs. He was adjudged the Player of the Match. Nasir Hossain reached the fifty-run landmark playing 21 deliveries.
Dhaka Capitals collected four points from five matches, while Noakhali Express remained with naught playing as many matches. Nasir Hossain played the key role to earn the huge win. His all-round performance guided Dhaka Capitals to earn the victory target.
Dhaka Capitals faced an early disaster as they lost their early two wickets for 14 runs.
Then, Nasir Hossain and Irfan Shukkur built a worthy partnership putting together 59 runs for the third wicket partnership before Irfan Shukkur (12) was dismissed by Zahir Khan when Dhaka’s total was 73 for the loss of three wickets. After Irfan Shukkur’s dismissal, Nasir Hossain and Imad Wasim powered their team to reach the victory target contributing together 61 runs for the unbroken fourth wicket partnership.
Imad Wasim remained unbeaten with 29 runs. His 16-ball knock had two fours and a sixer. Hasan Mahmud bagged two wickets at the cost of 17 runs while Zahir Khan took one wicket instead of 32 runs.
Noakhali Express lost their early five wickets for 40 runs.
Fourth down Mohammad Nabi and fifth down Haider Ali built a notable partnership. They scored together 90 runs in the sixth wicket partnership before Haider Ali was bowled out by Abdullah Al Mamun when Noakhali’s total was 130 for the loss of six wickets. Haider Ali hit a captain’s knock of 47. His 36-ball innings was laced with three fours and a sixer.
Mohammad Nabi remained unbeaten with 42 runs. His 33-ball knock was belted with two sixes and two fours.
Besides, one-down Naaz Sadaqat made 24 from 19 deliveries featuring two fours and a six. Abdullah Al Mamun, Imad Wasim, Ziaur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed and Mohammad Saifuddin picked up one wicket each for six, 16, 26, 28 and 30 runs respectively.
