What Saifuddin says about T20 World Cup preparations
Sports Reporter :
The date of the T20 World Cup is final. However, the Bangladesh Cricket team did not want to go to India. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has informed the ICC in a letter about not wanting to play on Indian soil. However, Mohammad Saifuddin is ready wherever the World Cup is.
On Tuesday, at a press conference in Sylhet, Saifuddin said, “I don’t know what will happen, it is out of our control. I played the T20 series a few days ago. I hope it will be easy to adapt. Be it in India or Sri Lanka, we are ready. Everyone is ready to play. Wherever the game is played.”
About himself, Saifuddin said, “You have to struggle a lot in life, be it your playing career or your personal life. Earlier, I used to think a lot about cricket. Now I have moved away a bit. I try to keep myself fit, play with an open mind, whatever will happen. Everything has been happening in the last 4-5 months. I will try to maintain consistency, contribute to the team.”
The all-rounder also said, “There is still a month left for the World Cup. Everyone is focusing on the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket. We are not able to perform as expected as team. We are talking about how to turn around, whether we will be 3-4 or top.
The format is the same, we will have to play in this format in the World Cup as well. We have played many series, they are in the World Cup team. Everyone knows each other.”
Saifuddin said about his Bangladesh Cricket team teammate Mustafiz, who is at the peak of his form, “Mustafiz is our asset. We are proud to be his teammate. We played the last match against Rangpur, after the game we were eating together in the dining room.
I called him to sit with me. As much as we were worried or disappointed, I did not feel at all when I saw him. He seems relaxed. He always listens to music and relaxes. That’s how it felt. He is relaxed, what is the use of us thinking so much? We are also relaxed!”
