Madrasah superintendent fined

A mobile court has fined a madrasah superintendent for holding a secret meeting in the name of voter training and public awareness in Sirajganj 2 Sadar Kamarkhand constituency ahead of the upcoming National Assembly elections.
Convicted Maulana Yusuf Ali is Superintendent of Balukol Islamia Dakhil Madrasa of Kamarkhand Upazila and Upazila Ameer of Jamaat Islam.
Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Administrative Magistrate of Kamarkhand Upazila Md. Al Mamun conducted the operation last Thursday afternoon, the accused was fined Tk 10,000 according to 20 (b) of Election Code of Conduct 2025.
According to administration sources, raids were conducted on the basis of news that Jamaat agents were secretly meeting in the premises of the madrasa in the name of voter training and mass awareness, but the main trainers and agents of Jamaat fled after receiving the news of the raid.
The chief of the institution was finally fined for carrying out unauthorized political activities inside the institution.
