Free eye care service held

A meeting on free eye care service for the targeted marginalized group of people was held with 29 NGO representatives, arranged by Community Eye Hospital and CDD, supported & funded by Sightsavers on Thursday Rangpur District Social Welfare Conference room, Rangpur.
The meeting was presided by executive Director Community Eye hospital Tusar Kanti das. Chief Guest of Deputy Director of Social Welfare Department Anil Chandra Barmon. Special Guest of Disability Affairs Officer of Social Welfare Department Masud Rana. Conducted by Executive Director of Community Eye Hospital Tusar kanti das. District Coordinator of Sightsavers Mr. Masud Rana presented their valuable themes on the topic.Also present Sr.Manager Zafor Ahamed of CECRC.
Disability inclusion officer of CDD Iftekhar hasan, Inclusion Officer Sheik Abdul Karim presented that in the this years the program has arranged 17 patient screening program for the targeted group of people and 2982 persons were served.
Sr Manager of CECER Mr Zofar Ahmed also Present. 673 persons underwent cataract surgery free of cost through the program. In the meeting it is decided that 15 free eye camps for marginalized group of people will be held in the next 6 months 2026 in Rangpur district with the help of the NGOs.
