JnU Eng Dept holds reception to freshers

Farewell and freshers’ reception ceremony of English Department of Jagannath University on Wednesday at the University central auditorium.

A farewell and fresher reception ceremony of English Department of Jagannath University (JnU) was held on Wednesday at the university central auditorium.
The department welcomes the 10th batch and bid farewell to the 3rd batch.
JnU Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mizanur Rahman was the chief guest while Treasurer Prof Md Selim Bhuiyan and Arts Faculty Dean Prof Dr Lutfur Rahman were present as the special guests.
Prof Dr Md Abu Zafor gave welcome speech and Prof Md Nasir Uddin, chairperson of the department presided over the ceremony.
Speaking on the Occasion VC Professor Dr Mizan said, “Students have to make themselves as the role model of the society.”
He urges them to remain active in the field of knowledge and uphold the prestige of the university.
Addressed the new students the chief guest said that they should feel great to become a member of the royal department of the country’s leading public university.
Speakers here also hoped their bright success in their practical life.
At the ceremony freshers were received with flower and crest handed over the graduates by the teachers.
The freshers and ongoing students expressed their views on the occasion.
Shehrin Ataur Khan and Md Kasifur Rahman, Lecturers of the department, conducted the whole programme.
Later, a colorful cultural function marked the day and the departmental students performed on it.
