BD Navy B/2025 batch in grand parade passed out

The B/2025 batch of novice sailors in the Bangladesh Navy concluded their boot camp training with a spectacular passing-out parade held on Monday, at the Banouja Sher-e-Bangla Parade Ground in Patuakhali.
Admiral M Nazmul Hasan, the honorable Chief of Bangladesh Navy, attended the event as the chief guest, inspecting the parade and receiving salutes. He later presented awards to the top-performing novice sailors.
Among the B/2025 batch, Rizwan Mollah achieved the highest excellence in professional and all other fields, earning the prestigious “Naval Chief Medal” as the best smart sailor. Md. Naruf Hasan Munna secured the second place and was awarded the “Kinethul Medal,” while Md. Hasan Ali earned the third position, receiving the “Sher-e-Bangla Medal.”
A total of 417 novice sailors, after completing 22 weeks of rigorous military training, officially joined the Bangladesh Navy. They took an oath to serve the nation, touching the national flag and committing their lives to the country’s service, says a press release.
In his speech, the Chief Guest paid heartfelt tribute to all fearless Bir Muktijoddhas (freedom fighters) and naval commandos who sacrificed their lives during the Liberation War. He also remembered the martyrs of the July-August anti-discrimination movement. Addressing the novice sailors, he highlighted Bangladesh’s vast potential and prosperity.
He emphasized the Navy’s crucial role in safeguarding the country’s sovereignty, security, and economy. The respected Chief of Naval Staff encouraged all naval personnel, especially the novice sailors, to enhance their skills and dedication, becoming proud members of the Bangladesh Navy and committed to national service. He provided guidance to the naval members on fulfilling their duties devotedly in today’s technology-driven, three-dimensional navy.
The Chief of Naval Staff urged them to maintain law and order, protect lives and property during crises, and secure vital installations.
He also extended his sincere congratulations to the novice sailors for choosing the noble profession of national service and nation-building. Confidently, he expressed hope that these new sailors will play a leading role in protecting Bangladesh’s vast maritime boundaries and contributing to the making of a new Bangladesh.
The colourful event was attended by PSOs of the Navy Headquarters, senior military and civilian officials, prominent personalities from the Patuakhali, Barisal, and Khulna regions, and the guardians of the novice sailors.
