Women make up 50% of the country, it would be wrong to think about the country’s development without them – Waqar-uz-Zaman

Women constitute 50 percent of the country, and it would be wrong to think about the development of the country without them, said Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman. He made these remarks as the chief guest at the 3-day 1st reunion of former cadets of Joypurhat Girls Cadet College on Friday at 11 am. He wished the cadets and former cadets participating in the parade success and prosperity and urged them to dedicate themselves to serving the country.
He further said, we have to be good people, we have to work with ethics and morality. Our dream is to produce many cadets. We want women leadership, we also want women empowerment. We have to think that women are 50 percent of the country, it would be wrong to think about the development of the country without them. That is why women have to be developed skillfully. Addressing the new cadets, he said, “Like their predecessors, they will continue to work for the country and the nation.” He inaugurated the Association of Joypurhat Ex-Cadets (AJEC) reunion program and took the salute at the reunion parade.
Joypurhat Girls Cadet College Principal Ariful Haque also spoke at the event. Joypurhat Ex-Cadet Association President Mousumi Shikha was also present. Joypurhat Deputy Commissioner Afroza Akhter Chowdhury, Police Superintendent Muhammad Abdul Wahab, college teachers and journalists were present at the event.
