Standard Bank board meeting

Standard Bank PLC, a Shari’ah-based commercial bank, held its 419th Board Meeting at the bank’s Head Office in Dhaka on last week.

The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mohammed Abdul Aziz.

It was attended by Vice Chairman A K M Abdul Alim, Director and Founder Vice Chairman Kamal Mostafa Chowdhury, and Directors Ashok Kumar Saha, S.A.M. Hossain, Al-haj Mohammed Shamsul Alam, Md. Zahedul Hoque, Ashit Kumar Saha, and Jhahedul Alam,according to press release.

Independent Directors Golam Hafiz Ahmed and Khondoker Rumy Ehsanul Huq were also present at the meeting.

From the management side, Md. Habibur Rahman, Managing Director, along with Md. Siddiqur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director, Md. Mizanur Rahman, FCS, Company Secretary, and Mohammad Salah Uddin, FCS, Chief Financial Officer, attended the session.

Key issues related to the bank’s operations, future strategies, and overall performance were discussed during the meeting.
