Online Barwari debate competition held

On the occasion of “Celebrating the Global Media & Information Literacy Week”, the Barwari (Open) Debate Competition was held on Wednesday on the Zoom (Online) platform at the initiative of Mir Mohammad Amjad Hossain Central Library of Khwaja Yunus Ali University.

The event was supported by the Debating Club of Khwaja Yunus Ali University.

The main objective of this event was to increase information analysis, critical thinking and media awareness among students in the digital age, following the international theme of Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week 2025 “Minds Over AI” – MIL in Digital Spaces announced by UNESCO Bangladesh. The event was named “MIL Week Debate Competition 2025”.

The Barwari (Open) Debate Competition held on the Zoom (Online) platform started at 8:00 pm.

The chief guest was Professor Dr. Hossain Reza, Emeritus Professor and Advisor, Khwaja Yunus Ali University.

The special guests were Professor Abu Torab Md. Hasan, Controller of Examinations and Club Coordinator, Khwaja Yunus Ali University and Professor Dr. Mustafa Mahmud Hasan, Director, IQAC and Dean, Faculty of Business Administration.

The function was presided over by Professor Ahsanullah Habib, Treasurer and Acting Vice Chancellor of Khwaja Yunus Ali University.
