Mercantile Bank concludes entrepreneurship program

Mercantile Bank PLC on Tuesday held the closing and certificate-giving ceremony of a month-long Entrepreneurship Development Program under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), financed by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and supervised by Bangladesh Bank.

The event took place at the Technical Training Centre in Jalkuri, Narayanganj, with Dr Md Zahid Hossain, DMD and CBO of Mercantile Bank, presiding over the ceremony, according to press release.

Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Husne Ara Shikha attended as chief guest, alongside senior officials from the central bank and Mercantile Bank. Twenty-five participants received certificates and crests after completing the training, which aimed to boost entrepreneurship and SME development.

The ceremony concluded with an exhibition of products made by the trainees.
