We will never allow miscreants or saboteurs : RAB DG

Staff Correspondent :
RAB Director General AKM Shahidur Rahman has said, “Everyone will observe their religious festivals with equal rights. We must support one another there is no question of creating obstacles. Anyone who does so is breaking the law and will face legal action. Our festivals and bonds of love must remain unshaken. Under no circumstances will we allow miscreants or saboteurs. However, the day we can celebrate religious festivals without the presence of law enforcement—that will be the day of true joy. I believe that day will come in this country.” He made these remarks on Wednesday (October 1) afternoon while visiting the Durga Puja mandap at Ramakrishna Mission Ashram in Missionpara, Narayanganj.
AKM Shahidur Rahman added, “The administration and law enforcement agencies have worked to ensure Durga Puja is organized smoothly, peacefully, and successfully. We hope this year’s festival will conclude with Bijoya Dashami. So far, we are satisfied with how everything has gone.

Across the country, security arrangements have been made at over 33,000 puja mandaps. Attempts were made to create isolated incidents at 49 mandaps by a few cowards. In every case, strict legal action has been taken. We have already arrested more than 19 saboteurs.” Also present on the occasion were District Police Superintendent Md. Jasim Uddin, RAB-11 Commander Lt. Col. HM Sajjad Hossain, Prime Group Chairman Abu Jafar Ahmed Babul, Metropolitan BNP Convener Advocate Sakhawat Hossain Khan, Member Secretary Advocate Abu Al Yusuf Khan Tipu, and Amolapara Puja Celebration Committee President Probir Kumar Saha, among others.
