National pay commission 2025 seeks public opinion to shape new pay structure
Staff reporter :
The National Pay Commission 2025 has launched an inclusive initiative to gather opinions from all segments of society in order to formulate a fair and sustainable pay structure for government employees.
In a press release issued on Monday by the Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Finance, the commission announced that feedback will be collected online through four separate questionnaires.
This step is aimed at ensuring greater transparency and participation in the policy-making process.
According to the release, the questionnaires have been designed to capture diverse perspectives: one dedicated to government employees, one for the general public, one for institutions, and one for associations.
This structured approach will allow the commission to assess expectations and concerns from multiple angles, including employee welfare, economic feasibility, and institutional requirements.
The questionnaires are now available on the commission’s official website at paycommission2025.gov.bd, and submissions will remain open until 15 October.
Interested government employees, citizens, institutions, and associations are encouraged to participate by completing the relevant forms online.
The commission further noted that if any association or organization wishes to meet directly with commission members, it must first fill out the questionnaire designed for associations and formally notify the body.
Such consultations will help incorporate collective views from professional, social, and economic groups that represent wider sections of society.
Officials highlighted that the commission’s ultimate objective is to recommend a pay structure that not only addresses the needs of government employees but also balances fiscal responsibility and national economic capacity.
By inviting contributions from the broader public, the commission aims to avoid one-sided decision-making and ensure that the forthcoming pay recommendations reflect a consensus-driven approach.
The National Pay Commission 2025 has therefore sought cooperation from all quarters, emphasizing that constructive participation will play a crucial role in shaping a pay policy that is equitable, transparent, and responsive to both employees and taxpayers.
