Event: Registration for ‘Notun Kuri’ begins

After two decades, the return of the children’s and teenagers’ competition show ‘Notun Kuri’ on Bangladesh Television (BTV) has begun.
On August 17, the registration process for ‘Notun Kuri 2025’ was officially inaugurated by Md Mahfuz Alam, Advisor to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, at BTV’s Dhaka centre.
BTV said in a press release that applications for the ‘Notun Kuri’ competition will continue until September 5. Application forms are being collected from BTV’s website.
The entire country will be divided into 19 regions for the preliminary selection; from there, the winners will go to the sectional selection phase. The final competition will be held between November 2 and November 6. The final selection and final competition of the program will be held in Dhaka centre.
There will be a competition in 9 subjects in ‘A’ and ‘B’ sections. These include acting, recitation, storytelling/comedy, general dance/high dance, patriotic songs/modern songs, Rabindra Sangeet, Nazrul Sangeet, folk songs and Hamd-Naat.
The age limit for competitors (boys and girls) in the ‘A’ category is 6 to 11 years and for the ‘B’ category, 11 to 15 years. Each competitor can participate in the competition in a maximum of three events.
